This is a sweeping view across the green landscape of Kauai toward the mountains. The sunlight against the clouds created dramatic grays in the sky.

I grew up in the country in the "thumb" area of Michigan. The plants and animals of the nature that surrounded me every day have been featured in my art ever since I was a very young child, and they continue to have a major presence in my work even today. I enjoy working in so many artistic media, but drawing, painting, and photography are my true passions. I attended the University of Michigan School of Art & Design where I obtained my Bachelor of Fine Arts.
